C1912 RAILWAY EXPRESS AGENCY COLT
Item # C1912 -27-751
There are very unique markings on this Colt "Police Positive". Markings on the backstrap are " RY. EX. AGY." Also on the holster "R. E. A. EXPRESS". This is a 4" bbl Police Positive 38 S&W. Very good cond overall with some light holster wear. Mechanics and bore are all VG. As stated there is a black dyed holster that is still in very good usable condition. Some of the orig dye from the holster has worn off and gives it that nice aged appearance. Markings on the holster are excellent. Also it comes with an old leather satchel pouch, an R.E.A. remittance envelope and some shipping tags. There is an interesting story about the Railway Express Agency. It was set up by the US Government in 1917. The Government wanted safe shipping specifically for WWI. The Railway Express Agency continued on for years and finally ceased operation in 1975. The Hay days would have been through WWI and WWII where they were very active. During the 50's and 60's other transportation became available. The R.E.A. served much like our UPS today delivering shipments. This outfit would have been protection for those shipments.

C1904 EXTREMELY RARE COLT 1860 WITH LONDON ADDRESS
Item # C1904-27-750
There were quite a few 1860 Army's produced but only a handful that have the London address. It reads "-Address Col. Colt London-". All matching number gun at 168k serial range. A good solid old Colt with some of the cylinder scene still visible. A few spots of light pitting on the bbl but overall the metal is VG. This gun was carried quite a bit evident by the wear pattern on the muzzle. Grips have an attractive well used look. Action is nice and the bore is VG. There is several research papers on London Colts that accompany this gun that make for some interesting reading. A rare desirable Colt.

C1450 BEAUTIFUL HIGH CONDITION DELUXE FACTORY ENGRAVED LONDON NAVY
Item # C1450
This gun features a very elaborate deluxe relief style engraving on the frame, back part of the bbl lug, muzzle, trigger guard and the bottom of the grip. The Colt patent markings on the side of the frame are done in a flowing banner style. The back shields of the frame have floral motif. Quite striking! Gun also features the typical 1 marking on the bottom of the frame and on the bottom of the grip strap indicating it is a specially produced gun intended for engraving. 42,XXX serial range with all matching numbers. Retains virtually all of the cylinder scene. Dlx grips are quite stunning with virtually all the high gloss piano finish lacquer remaining. There were a number of London model 1851 Navy revolvers in the 42000 serial range that were unsold at the time that the Civil War was developing in this country about 1860-1861. I believe this gun was returned to the US. The reason is because it appears to have some Civil War markings on the bottom of the grip such as "Company D 1862" and on the right heel is scratched " J K 22 MI". Beautifully cased in an English style case featuring the original cleaning rod, nipple tool, loading tool, Colt Navy flask by James Dickson as well as a percussion cap box. The case is lined with red velour and in near excellent condition. Showing only a minimal amount of handling. Gun retains a considerable amount of high gloss polished blue finish on the bbl as well as on the cylinder. The trigger guard is of iron which all the London Navy were made of and retains a considerable amount of silver plate. Traces of case colors on the frame and the engraving is fantastic. One of the fanciest Colts I think I have seen. Excellent plus inside and out. Hard to beat.
Antique $ 29,500.

C1749 EXTREMELY RARE CASED DELUXE 1862 POCKET NAVY CONVERSION REVOLVER
Item # C1749
38 cal center fire. Extraordinary gun! This gun was in one of the best collections in the country. Previously owned by John B. Solley III. Comes complete with the description stating it had been in the hands of noted arms dealer Marcus Chernoff. It has a letter of Authenticity by R.L. Wilson stating there is only 2 or 3 of these engraved 62 pocket Navys that are known. This one is probably one of the best. This gun features the deluxe vine style engraving that is rarely encountered on any of Colts firearms. Gun is in extraordinary condition with 90% bright bbl blue. 90% bright case colors. Back strap and trigger guard retain 95-98% orig nickel finish having started to turn a nice patina. Rosewood grips in excellent condition with most orig lacquer finish remaining. This gun comes complete with a deluxe French style case of Rosewood in excellent cond with only 1 minor crack at the top of the case. Shows a minimum amount of wear from the gun. Most of the blue velveteen lining is clean and bright. Extraordinary gun inside and out. 43k serial range. Would be hard to improve upon this orig gun.
Antique $ 27,500.
C1901 UNIQUE COLT POCKET NAVY
Item # C1901
This has been converted to 38 RF cartridge. That is unique in itself but it also has been cut down into a carry gun. The bbl is just a hair over 2" and definitely would have worked well for a hide-out gun! Pretty good cond overall. Nice cylinder scene. Most nickel is present. Some wear and a few rub marks. Grips are also VG. Good action. Some of these cut down Colts look goofy but this one has a real cool appearance to it.
Antique $ 1,675.

C1940 COLT WELLS FARGO REVOLVER
Item # C1940-27-736
The Wells Fargo was a variation of the 1849 pocket percussion revolver. 5-shot 31 cal. The oddity of the Wells Fargo model was that they were expressly built without a loading lever. Metal is grey and no doubt has been cleaned years ago. Luckily it was not over cleaned as the markings are very good. The cylinder scene is quite visible. Brass on the gun looks VG and has an aged patina. 150k serial range with all numbers matching. Action works good as are the trigger and hammer springs. Other than a couple of dings on the bottom the grips are nice.
Antique $ 2,775.
C020 49 COLT POCKET WELLS FARGO
Item # C020
Made without a ram rod. Interesting gun. It appears to have been together forever but there are several different numbers on it. Bbl and frame number are the same. Backstrap is another number and the cylinder yet another. This gun had to have been mis-matched 100 years ago because it looks to be all the same piece. Good traces of blue and case color. Good traces of orig silver on the trigger guard. Correct 3" bbl. Cylinder retains nearly all of the scene. Good sharp little gun.
Antique $ 2,450.
C1643 FACTORY ENGRAVED 1860 COLT ARMY REVOLVER
Item # C1643
Gun is in the 140k serial range. Has the typical "E" marked by the serial ##. I believe this is the work of L.D. Nimschke. Definitely his style of engraving and expertly done. Mechanical condition excellent. All matching visible numbers. Orig ivory grip has a well done repair and is quite serviceable. Lanyard loop is missing. Trigger guard retains about half of it's orig silver. The rest of the gun has turned basically a grey patina. Considerable amount of orig cylinder scene still visible. Very attractive all orig gun.
Antique $ 8,500.
C1876 COLT 1860 ARMY
Item # C1876
This gun was built in the height of the Civil War in 1863. Nice overall condition with an attractive brown antique patina. Good bbl markings and a VG cylinder scene which is seldom seen on these 1860's. One oddity on this gun is the frame, trigger guard and backstrap are matching numbers. The wedge and cylinder also match but are different than the frame but only by a few numbers. Did Colt do this to get much needed guns into the Civil War effort, or were the parts changed later? Regardless, this is a very attractive Colt.
Antique $ 2,550.
C1877 HIGH CONDITION COLT 1861 CONVERSION
Item # C1877

Nice aged looking brass and good grips. A very good collectible piece!
Antique $ 4,575.

Matching number gun in 111k range. This one has seen some use. Areas of corrosion and wear throughout the gun, mostly on the front half. A brown/gray patina on the whole gun. They are in good condition with a couple of chips missing. This gun has "been there done that". Good antique patina to this Colt.
Antique $ 1,675.
