MR1054 SAW HANDLE TARGET PISTOL
Item # MR1054
This is a New England style underhammer percussion target pistol. We are noted for our fine firearms and also items that you don't see or find everywhere. This is one of those items! This falls under "a bit strange" category. Cal 32 with octagon to round bbl. At the muzzle is a cool piece of wood that fits over the muzzle and a ram rod that goes inside. It is like a muzzle protector of sorts. The bbl has an early style hooded target sight. Bbl is a pleasing antique brown. There is a dovetail with a blank at the end of the octagon portion. The rear sight is a very long peep sight with medium aperture adjustable for both height and windage. Saw handle is a piece of art. Fits well and in VG condition. If you feel you can't hit anything as a pistol, you can add the brass screw on skeleton buttstock. This would be an excellent conversation piece!

These were for very close ranges as the 4 inch barrel is not rifled. A good military collectable as well as a piece of history. This one looks to be all original including the floor plate. MHG865 U.S. FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL
Item # MHG865
The Liberator was a crude and clumsy weapon, never intended for front line service. It was originally intended as an insurgency weapon to be mass dropped behind enemy lines to resistance fighters in occupied territory. A resistance fighter was to recover the gun, sneak up on an Axis occupier, kill or incapacitate him, and retrieve his weapons. 45 ACP caliber single shot. About a million manufactured but very low survival rate. The ones that are in the USA are mostly bring backs from GI's. This one has been cleaned and is missing the floor plate. Reproduction floor plates can be found on line for around $30. A good collectable.
Modern $ $ 1,725.
MHG864 U.S. FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL
Item # MH864
The FP-45 was a crude, single-shot pistol designed to be cheaply and quickly mass-produced. It had just 23 largely stamped and turned steel parts that were cheap and easy to manufacture. It fired a .45 caliber pistol cartridge from an unrifled barrel. Due to this limitation, it was intended for short range use, 1–4 yards. Its maximum effective range was only about 25 feet. These were to be used to take a gun from a German soldier so you would have something better to fight with. Metal has been cleaned and is missing the floor plate. Still a good representative piece for your WW2 collection.
Modern $ 1,725.
MHG863 U.S. FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL
Item # MHG863
Inland Guide Lamp Manufacturing Division of General Motors made somewhere around a million of them and packaged them with ten rounds of .45 ACP and a diagram that illustrates how to load it then dropped them into occupied territories and those who wish to resist their occupation would have an effective tool to do so. If a German soldier was caught unaware an FP-45 might allow a resistance fighter to kill or incapacitate him and then pick up better weapons. 4 inch barrel chambered in 45 ACP. Metal has been cleaned and has a few spot weld repairs as well as a missing floor plate. Still a good representative piece for your WW2 collection.
Modern $ 1,725.

Pancho Villa bought a load of more than 5,000 11mm Montenegrin which had been previously modified in .44 Winchester caliber. It was originally chambered for a massive 11mm round. The revolver has a 5 3/8” round barrel and takes a 44-40 (44 Winchester) caliber round. Marked "FOR 44 WINCHESTER CARTRIDGES BELGIUM" along with the appropriate proof acceptance marks. Item # MHG658
On the bbl is "F. P. Caron, Arq. DE S.M. L' EMPEREUR A PARIS" . Caron was the gunmaker for Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte (President/Emperor Napoleon III). After two failed coups and years in exile, Napoleon returned to France and was elected as the first president of the Second French Republic. He served from 1848 to 1852 and seized power as Emperor and reigned until 1870. Based on this history, this pistol was produced between 1852 and 1870. This single shot is of the Flobert variety. A very simple mechanism as the hammer does all the functions. This is for the small 5.5mm rim fire. 9" oct bbl with engraving towards the chamber and also at the muzzle. Deep relief engraving on the stock towards the front and a typical French pistol grip with a very ornate pistol grip cap. Likewise the trigger guard is European style engraving also. Serial number 1 that is stamped in several places on this revolver. It is either the first one made or it was an experimental or prototype revolver. It is 6-shot 32 RF. Produced by or in conjunction with the Brooklyn Arms Co. Very short production run. As short as a year possibly in 1863, possibly 1864. This of course was during the height of the Civil War and most of the materials and labor was going towards the war effort. This is a small pocket pistol variety with 3" bbl and brass frame with scroll engraving. Bbl is pretty much a silver color with age spots. Frame is very nice condition with nice smooth metal. Action indexes and works nicely. Grips are all there with a few scratches but no losses of wood. Unique looking gun with the 6-shot cylinder. Cylinder looks over sized. MHG511 HOPKINS PHILADELPHIA PERCUSSION BELT DERINGER
Item # MHG511
Big bore, small gun! This is a 45 cal meant to be worn on the belt. Quite ornate gun with scroll engraving on the lock and the hammer. Also on the upper tang. Nice clean smooth metal. Action works good. Wood is exceptional. VG overall condition. One light age crack on the left hand side by the belt clip. Everything is solid with no wood missing. Also a light crack that has been repaired many years ago on the right hand side with original wood. Just a hairline crack that does not detract from the gun. Very nice little gun!

MHG215 MARTIALLY MARKED E. WHITNEY 2ND MODEL PERCUSSION REVOLVER
Item # MHG215
The Navy Model is 36 caliber single action percussion revolver with a standard barrel length of 7 5/8 inches that was manufactured from the late 1850s through the early 1860s. The revolver went into production after Colt’s patent on his revolver mechanism expired in 1857. Interesting in that it is in the 4th type serial number range but has the E. Whitney barrel address. Generally fine condition overall retaining 85% original nickel on the barrel, frame, hammer and trigger guard with traces of case colors on loading lever. Nice grips with great cartouche. Excellent mechanics. Plain cylinder. A fine Civil War Era Whitney.
