MR1054 SAW HANDLE TARGET PISTOL

Item # MR1054

MR1054 SAW HANDLE TARGET PISTOL This is a New England style underhammer percussion target pistol. We are noted for our fine firearms and also items that you don't see or find everywhere. This is one of those items! This falls under "a bit strange" category. Cal 32 with octagon to round bbl. At the muzzle is a cool piece of wood that fits over the muzzle and a ram rod that goes inside. It is like a muzzle protector of sorts. The bbl has an early style hooded target sight. Bbl is a pleasing antique brown. There is a dovetail with a blank at the end of the octagon portion. The rear sight is a very long peep sight with medium aperture adjustable for both height and windage. Saw handle is a piece of art. Fits well and in VG condition. If you feel you can't hit anything as a pistol, you can add the brass screw on skeleton buttstock. This would be an excellent conversation piece!

MHG865 U.S. FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL

Item # MHG865

MHG865 U.S. FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL The Liberator was a crude and clumsy weapon, never intended for front line service. It was originally intended as an insurgency weapon to be mass dropped behind enemy lines to resistance fighters in occupied territory. A resistance fighter was to recover the gun, sneak up on an Axis occupier, kill or incapacitate him, and retrieve his weapons. 45 ACP caliber single shot. About a million manufactured but very low survival rate. The ones that are in the USA are mostly bring backs from GI's. This one has been cleaned and is missing the floor plate. Reproduction floor plates can be found on line for around $30. A good collectable.

MHG864 U.S. FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL

Item # MH864

MHG864 U.S. FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL The FP-45 was a crude, single-shot pistol designed to be cheaply and quickly mass-produced. It had just 23 largely stamped and turned steel parts that were cheap and easy to manufacture. It fired a .45 caliber pistol cartridge from an unrifled barrel. Due to this limitation, it was intended for short range use, 1–4 yards. Its maximum effective range was only about 25 feet. These were to be used to take a gun from a German soldier so you would have something better to fight with. Metal has been cleaned and is missing the floor plate. Still a good representative piece for your WW2 collection.

Modern  $ 1,725.

MHG863 U.S. FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL

Item # MHG863

MHG863 U.S. FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL Inland Guide Lamp Manufacturing Division of General Motors made somewhere around a million of them and packaged them with ten rounds of .45 ACP and a diagram that illustrates how to load it then dropped them into occupied territories and those who wish to resist their occupation would have an effective tool to do so. If a German soldier was caught unaware an FP-45 might allow a resistance fighter to kill or incapacitate him and then pick up better weapons. 4 inch barrel chambered in 45 ACP. Metal has been cleaned and has a few spot weld repairs as well as a missing floor plate. Still a good representative piece for your WW2 collection.

Modern  $ 1,725.

MR1039 ENGRAVED CHAPUIS EXPRESS DOUBLE RIFLE COMBO GUN

MR1039 ENGRAVED CHAPUIS EXPRESS DOUBLE RIFLE COMBO GUN This is a nice package. The rifle is 7X65R cal. Also comes with a set of 20 ga shotgun bbls. These are all included in a case. The engraving on the frame is beautiful. It is well executed with some deep relief engraving on the bolsters and some very fine scroll on the sides and bottom. This was evidently a special order gun for someone since on the trigger guard in a small oval is the initials "APA". Also on the pistol grip cap is an Elk escutcheon. High quality wood that appears to be French Walnut which would make sense since these where made in France. A nice slim trim double rifle in a very good caliber. Double rifles are used a lot and are noted to be natural pointers and have a long history of use in places like Africa. The shotgun bbls are 20 ga for 3" magnums. 26-3/4" bbl. Choked improved cylinder and modified. Information that comes with this rifle is out of the Gun Digest 1980. These guns were made in the late 70's and into the 80's and were known for being low cost double rifles of high quality and very usable. When you consider that many double rifles cost 5-10 times this amount it surely is a value. Comes in a nice fitted case with 2 sets of wood and in near mint condition. MR1071 STANDARD ARMS RIFLE

Item # MR1071

MR1071 STANDARD ARMS RIFLE Cal 30 which is the obsolete 30 Remington caliber. Standard Arms rifle was unique in the fact that they made a rifle that was suppose to be semi automatic but could also be used as a slide action. Very short production run of these guns in the early 1900's. Sounds silly to have a semi-auto pump rifle. It made sense in the day because of the variations of different ammo that may not always work as a semi-auto so you had the option to use the slide action. This gun has very nice bbl blue. The frame has quite a bit of blue on the left side and not so much on the right side. A decent stock. One cool thing about the Standard Arms was the buttplate and slide handle which were quite ornate. Most of the parts appear to be with the gun and even comes with a pouch containing cleaning accessories.
